2000 Honda NSX £85,000

The Honda NSX was a huge landmark in Honda’s history. As their first taste of the supercar market, their aim was to beat Ferrari and Lamborghini at their own game. The beauty of this decision was the combination of Japanese technology and reliability with the supercar genre. It was therefore a rare option to own a useable supercar. The 3.0 V6 was enough for 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 170mph thanks to Honda’s unique VTEC system. This was increased to 3.2L in 1997, which boosted the power from 270hp to 290hp.
The inspiration for the NSX came from many attractive areas. The cockpit was inspired by the F-16 fighter jet and its 360-degree visibility, and Ayrton Senna helped develop the car too. It also benefited from an all-aluminium semi-monocoque and radical suspension.
This NSX was conceived half way through the production of the first generation NSX, in the year 2000. It is a rare UK spec car, considering only roughly 400 NSXs were sold in the UK, which comes with the larger option wheels. As a 2000 car it also benefits from the 6-speed manual gearbox (introduced in 1997), with closer gear ratios and 3rd-4th gear dual cone synchronizers, and the larger 3.2L engine.
The car has only completed over 9,000 miles and is offered in stunning condition in rare silver. It comes with a stamped service book and the original handbook with the owner’s manual, service guide, information booklets and Motorola hands-free kit. There is also a large service file and three spare keys. With the new NSX now on the roads, now is the perfect opportunity to own a legend.
