2016 McLaren 675LT Spider

McLaren are very keen to represent their history, with very good reason. Cars such as the F1 were legends in their own right, and the F1 GTR Longtail was one of the ultimate Le Mans cars ever made. As a result McLaren chose to bring back the Longtail name in one of their modern supercars. To bear that name, the LT had to be superlative in every way, so McLaren made sure it provided the ultimate supercar experience, but managed to keep prices relatively low compared to their at-the-time flagship, the P1. What resulted was an upgraded, harder, faster and more extreme development of their 650S.

Using borrowed performance parts from the P1, the 675LT became the closest performer to the P1 without the hypercar pricetag. Powered by a track-focused 3.8L twin-turbo V8, it created 666hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Twinned with a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox, shifting took just 40 milliseconds.

These figures made the car almost too popular for its 500 limited run, so McLaren made 500 more in ‘Spider’ convertible form. This car benefits from the electric convertible roof and is finished in stunning metallic black. This is contrasted with red brake callipers. Additionally the seats are black alcantara with red leather. Options include soft door close, 675LT branded carpets, MSO front arch louvres, nose-lift, carbon side skirts and gloss 5-spoke wheels with the 675LT logo. Now is the chance to own a limited-run collectors’ item, as well as one of the greatest supercars of the modern day.
